Mvizora is our name for the hour the evening star appears — the first light after sundown.
We built this house around that hour: the slow blue minutes when the lake goes glassy, the lamps come on, and there is genuinely nowhere else you need to be. Black-framed glass on every wall, charred cedar, a wood stove that ticks all night.
We take one booking at a time. When you're here, the shoreline, the dock, the sauna and the quiet are entirely, unshared, yours.
Rooms that hold
the light.
Five spaces, each turned toward the water. Soft linen, warm oak, black steel — nothing between you and the lake.
The whole shoreline,
and then some.
Steam on the deck at dusk, a fire by the water, a canoe waiting at the dock. It's all included, and it's all yours.
A long look around.

★★★★★"We didn't check a single screen for three days. The stove, the sauna, that wall of black windows over the water — we've already booked again for the fall."
★★★★★"Having the whole lake edge to ourselves changed the trip. Coffee on the dock at dawn, the canoe out on glass water. Mara and Del thought of everything."
★★★★★"It's rare that a place looks exactly like the photos and then somehow better at dusk. The name fits — the evenings here really do slow all the way down."

Mara & Del.
We live twenty minutes down the shore and built Mvizora by hand over four winters. We stock the wood, leave the kettle on, and then leave you to it. Questions before you book? Just reach out — a real person always answers.
